When we talk about roadworthy inspections, we often think about the vehicles. But behind every certificate is a technician making sure the job gets done — thoroughly, professionally, and with care.

We recently met Aariel, a mobile technician from Mr Roadworthy on the Gold Coast. Aariel has more than 10 years of experience across NSW and QLD, working on everything from trucks to cars and has seen the ins and outs of both workshop and mobile inspection life.
What keeps him in the job after all these years?
“It’s chill. I like that I’m not stuck in one place. I get to move around, meet different people, and just get the work done without stress.”

He shared how the cost of running a physical workshop is a big hurdle these days, going mobile has allowed him to stay flexible and independent. But it’s not without challenges — especially in Queensland, where the industry is more competitive. Since technicians don’t need to invest in setting up a full workshop, more people are able to operate as mobile inspectors, which means there are a lot more providers on the road.
Even so, Aariel believes Mr Roadworthy stands out because of their consistent service and loyal customer base. “People know we do a good job, so they come back!” he said. It’s that ongoing trust and satisfaction that helps them stay ahead in a crowded market.
When it comes to tools, Aariel uses AutoTest Workshop Pro like a daily work diary. It helps him stay on top of his tasks with minimal fuss. “I’ve got the Workshop Pro for work — and with over 14 of us in QLD, we’ve probably got a whole fleet of them by now!” he laughed.
It’s always great to see Australian businesses like Mr Roadworthy using locally made tools they can rely on. AutoTest Products are Australian made and owned, developed and manufactured in Melbourne. It means a lot to see teams like Aariel’s building their day-to-day around gear they can trust.
We take real pride in knowing our tools support Aussie technicians out in the field, especially when they are being used by businesses who share that same local spirit.
It was a pleasure spending time with Aariel, someone who brings pride to everything he does. His approach is simple: get the job done right, stay flexible, and enjoy the ride.
